Minimum 4 weeks before event
The Society recognises that some members may have caring responsibilities that may make it difficult to attend conferences and events because of the extra costs incurred in paying for the additional care needed while they are away.
The BMVBS childcare/carers grant can help members attend microcirculation-related events or conferences by contributing towards these additional costs of care.
There are no restrictions on how the grant will be used, except that it must contribute towards the costs associated with additional care needed and the member must be attending a microcirculation-related conference, meeting or event.
To apply for this grant you need to:
- be a current member of the BMVBS and have been a member of the Society for at least 1 year or have attended the most recent annual BMVBS conference as a member
- use the grant towards the costs of additional care
- attend a microcirculation-related conference, meeting or event
Application process
Please complete and submit the application form up to four weeks before the event to the Honorary Secretary. We will normally let you know our decision within two weeks.
After the event, please return an expenses claim form (provided by the Honorary Treasurer) supported by receipts to receive the funding.
