Laboratory Visit Grant

31st January & 30th June (deadlines are recurrent each calendar year).
The purpose of this scheme is to provide a sum annually to assist an eligible postgraduate student or junior postdoctoral worker (postdoctoral workers within the first two years of their first postdoctoral position) either of whom must be a member of the British Microcirculation and Vascular Biology Society*, to visit a laboratory in this country or abroad for the purpose of learning new techniques or other worthwhile scientific purposes related to microvascular research.

*You must be a current member and have been a member of the Society for at least 1 year or have attended the most recent annual BMVBS conference as a member

When?               

Apply at any time of the year but applications will be considered after a January 31st or a June 30th 1st Sepember 2020 (this year only) deadline.

All submitted grants will be considered in competition.

Obligations of the successful applicant

Upon returning from the laboratory visit, the successful applicant shall submit for the Society’s archive a brief, one-page report on the visit and its value to the awardee. The successful applicant will also present a short report (5 min) on the visit at the next AGM or meeting following completion of the visit.
