Benefits

Meetings
The Society holds a scientific meeting and AGM in the spring of each year and the proceedings are published on our website. Members can sponsor presentations at the meeting, and receive reduced registration fees for BMVBS and World and European Microcirculation Congresses which are held in the summer biannually. The spectrum of interests is one of the strengths of the Society and enlivens discussion at its meetings.

Support for Research
The Society works to advance the careers of researchers in the circulation by providing awards to members that pay for attendance at national and international meetings, visits to laboratories to help develop new techniques, and to chair and organise symposia at international meetings.

Information
The Society, through its website and Newsletter, provides in-formation, restricted to its members, on recent events, jobs in the field, upcoming meetings of interest, recent grant awards and publications, laboratory contacts and details of support. It acts as a centre for journalists’ enquiries about the science of circulation. It also acts as a nominating body for the RAE/REC, and a contact for grant awarding bodies and journals.

Other benefits
Membership includes European Society for Microcirculation membership, online subscription to the Journal of Vascular Research, eligibility for travel and symposium awards and Newsletters, containing details of upcoming conferences, meetings, grant deadlines, recent awards, etc. Membership also gives contact details of all other members and their research interests.
